About Us

Ventuno was acquired by Sydney Restaurant Group in June 2021, maintaining the Italian Pizzeria, Birreria and Enoteca offering much loved by Walsh Bay locals and Sydney Siders alike. Located amongst Sydney's historical old town quarter, a stone’s throw from the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct is also home to Sydney Theatre Company, Sydney Dance Company and more.

The Walsh Bay Wharves were constructed in the 1920s and considered the ‘jewel in the crown’ of extensive harbour-side redevelopment in Sydney. These structures were considered highly innovative during their time, serving as crucial hubs for international shipping for numerous years. They played a pivotal role in welcoming immigrants from Italy and around the globe.

Ventuno is part of the Sydney Restaurant Group, a family business founded by Bill & Kathleen Drakopoulos. Their children—Anastasia, Nicola, Daniel and Perry—now serve as directors, embodying the family's vision of providing welcoming and affordable dining in beautiful locations.
